Project: Asterwood Development
Location: Elmstead Market, Colchester

JPB Landscapes were appointed by Hills Building Group to supply and install all fencing and gate packages for the Asterwood residential development, comprising 63 new build homes in Elmstead Market, Colchester.

The scope of works included the coordinated, plot by plot delivery of fencing in line with the build programme. Working closely with the Site Manager, we successfully delivered the project on budget and to agreed deadlines, ensuring each plot was completed in sequence to support handovers and occupation.

The development was fitted with 6ft timber close board fencing to all rear gardens and boundary lines, providing privacy, security, and a consistent finish throughout the site. All pedestrian gates were supplied and installed complete with appropriate ironmongery to meet site and end-user requirements.

In addition to domestic fencing, estate railings were installed to selected areas of communal planting and open space, helping define public and private boundaries while enhancing the overall appearance of the development.

JPB Landscapes also supplied and installed ROSPA approved anti trap play area fencing surrounding the children’s play spaces, ensuring full compliance with safety standards while maintaining a durable and visually appropriate solution.

To further enhance connectivity and encourage outdoor access, a kissing gate was installed, providing residents with safe and convenient access from the development into the surrounding countryside and nearby public footpaths.

This was an excellent project to be involved in, delivered through close collaboration with Hills Building Group. The Asterwood development has been carefully designed and constructed to create a high quality new community, and we are proud to have contributed to a scheme that residents are now pleased to call home.
